Community Foundation Awards ACCF with Grant

ACHIEVEMENT CENTERS FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES RECEIVES GRANT FROM COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF PALM BEACH AND MARTIN COUNTIES FOR $30,000 FOR OUT OF SCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS

Delray Beach, FL (4/29/2021) – Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF) is pleased to announce it has received a $30,000 grant from Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. These funds will support programming efforts for our Out of School and Summer Camp programs.

ACCF Out of School (OOS) and Summer Camp programs provide an affordable, safe environment where children can gain academic and social skills with enrichment experiences during out of school times. ACCF has more than 20 years’ experience operating quality programs including our OOS and Summer Camp programs, which operate annually.

This Community Foundation grant will support us in closing the deficit of our operating costs to provide under resourced children and their families quality programming. ACCF will be able to expand our Positive Impact Curriculum to younger children, ages 6-15, that will foster youth development, as well as support our staff and students through other socio-emotional development curriculum.

“We are very excited and grateful to have received these funds for our Out of School and Summer Camp Programs and to help expand our Positive Impact Curriculum. Starting this curriculum at a younger age will provide immense support for social and emotional development.” – Stephanie Seibel, ACCF CEO

Each year, the Community Foundation awards over a million dollars in grants focusing on three priority areas: Community Revitalization, Educational Attainment, and Positive Youth Development. These three focus areas were identified through focus groups, stakeholder interviewers, and intensive community data analysis.

“The Community Foundation is dedicated to supporting positive youth development in Palm Beach and Martin Counties,” said January Reissman, vice president for Community Impact of the Community Foundation. “The funding awarded to ACCF will help youth engage in quality after-school and summer programming, which is essential to strengthening their social and emotional health during these challenging times.”
